Mercury holds scientific value and is a key focus in many neurological disorders, including but not limited to, Schizophrenia, Alzheimer's Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (*) (ALS, Lou Gehrigs Disease/Syndrome), Parkinson's Disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Depression (2).

  1. Please be cautious with recommending chlorella as a remedy against mercury toxicity. If you're familiar with the work of Dr.Andrew Hall Cutler you'll know that chlorella unfortunately only moves mercury around in the body, leading to damaging redistribution. This is due to it only possessing one thiol group so it cannot hold on long enough to the mercury to move it out of the body. There are some tragic stories of people suffering from the effects of chlorella induced redistribution of mercury. If you know you're Mercury toxic and suffer from symptoms, follow the Cutler protocol to chelate it safely (low dose ALA every three hours with co-supplements).
