Is Estrogen (Aromatization) Really needed for Libido / Sexual Function in Man? ~Thorough Analysis Given~ {Area-1255}

This, my friends, is where the peddles start turning and the roads start changing, this is where answers are discovered and "BRO-SCIENCE" and "SHO-SCIENCE" are cast aside into the water!

I'm about to burst your bubble, but first, I'm going to shake it up a bit.

An excerpt from the book "Male Sexual Dysfunction: Pathophysiology and Treatment" had given me particular and factual enlightenment on something I always suspected - ESTROGEN; including that aromatized by and from testosterone - is NOT   needed for libido or for sexual "functioning" - in the HUMAN MALE at least.

Then of course you are going to attempt and riddle me with the 'ol, "WELL THEN WHY DO AROMATASE INHIBITORS AT HIGH DOSES KILL MY LIBIDO" .

I'd like to hand you a hat and some nice new shoes for being so straightforward, but first, put some really sharp reading glasses on cus you're gonna be busy.

Alright, that was just for some enthusiasm. Let me tell you , I would like to believe everything is so simple, but with science it almost never is. It's a mere coincidence in a way that AI's cause loss of libido  - but in many cases , it would seem that there are a number of factors involved in Aromatase Inhibitor induced loss of libido.

Ranging from pharmacodynamic differences; CYP binding and all the way to the other side of the wall where some AI's are also noted to be dual DHT-inhibitors(!)(!).

Additionally, many people try to auto-classify ZINC as an aromatase inhibitor, YES, it does inhibit aromatase - but is not purely so, an AI in the classical sense nor literal - and it inhibits DHT a great deal if used at above RDA/Normal sup concentrations!

Point is , if ya aren't deficient - there is no need to go much higher than 20 mg of zinc per day!!!
http://examine.com/supplements/Zinc/

According to the study below, DIHYDROTESTOSTERONE is the only hormone truly needed for male sexual function.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24751323

Here's yet another one showing it can be done without aromatization, specifically, in this case, and estrogen receptor antagonist AND aromatase inhibitor were employed and still, with the DHT-treatment, all sexual function parameter's were increased.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/4084053

However, I suspect it to be much more complicated than all of this - for SURELY there must be something to the low estrogen and low libido link after so many other studies have confirmed it??

AND YET, SOME MEN BORN WITHOUT ESTROGEN OR THE CAPACITY TO MAKE IT HAVE HAD VERY ACTIVE/NORMAL SEX LIVES(!).

This leads me to see into other factors, including what was first proclaimed as the proposed mechanism by which estrogen can EVEN EXERT some effect on libido. Many were rat studies, mind you.

----------------------http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/406718_2
--------------------------------> http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20079719

According to those studies, estrogen in the brain can help maintain dopamine receptor expression and nitric oxide activity as well as oxytocin - all very important, right?

Well if you are a male rat I s'pose. Granted, some studies have confirmed the role of these neurohormones, peptides, and especially DOPAMINE, in calibrating and allowing for the surge of one's sexual instincts - in the human as well.

However , it could also be that the men who maintain sexual function and libido WITHOUT estrogen - simply have much higher or above average dopamine and nitric oxide levels to begin with, so much that when a drop occurs that it isn't significant enough to wreak havoc on the sexual circuitry.

Therefore (and this remains the most plausible explanation for those who retain libido with low E2) - ESTROGEN is not necessary but CERTAINLY a contributor**.

I s'pose if we are all perfectly healthy and living in our perfect STRESS-FREE utopia then loss of estrogen would mean very little, assuming DHT, nitric oxide and dopamine are in awesome-in-your-face ranges
{some sarcasm intended}

Now...you get the picture, right?

The point of this article isn't to dismiss estrogen as being important, just that it isn't ABSOLUTELY necessary for the libido and it simply is a contributing factor in biorhythmic or biological tendencies, or patterns in neuro-chemical projections.

Relate.Create.Innovate

To start, an idea needs to be presented!

Since it is the original idea/concept, we decide whether or not it’s a presentable or well-developed idea. How do we do that? Ask yourself questions about anything relating to the core idea/concept that could improve upon it; we need to be able to connect the dots to it, similar to a web or idea tree. Simply put, the original idea/concept is a “generalization” and we want it to be as clear as possible; crystal clear.

Naturally in life, we want things as simple and fruitful as possible. To further improve upon our idea, outside suggestions/feedback/constructive criticism is needed. Constructive criticism, listening to new takes on concepts that relate to the original concept is how innovation happens!

Let’s take a second and discuss a certain dogma, a basis to an ideology or belief system that certain people feel that the use of something that has been done before is stealing, or unoriginal; this is absolutely false. To copy something is to completely, and entirely take/copy an idea that is not owned by you, and out rightly claim as entirely/completely your own. Developing ideas generally come from a prior knowledge of a concept/idea that somehow relates to your concept/idea and information is shared throughout every moment that you’re spent thinking. Sharing is caring people!

Innovation is never ended, that’s the beauty. It’s hard to do things alone, as to where we get to those who can relate to these concepts/ideas and want to pursue with the same goal, together with you as a team.

What is teamwork? It is a relationship. What is a relationship? A connection or relation to someone or something (in this case, a person). What is relating? Being comfortable with communicating events (problems) with someone(s) in a stable, healthy way that inevitably cause you to come closer to one another (in this case, finding solutions and being innovative). The relationship we have amongst each other will allow us all to prosper for good.

We want to be innovative. We want to relate. We want to communicate effectively. This is nature, and this is everything. We all know as people that actions speak louder than words, but I believe that the instructions to how the action was made need to be laugh out as clearly as possible for everyone to understand, to relate, to create and to innovate upon.

So in conclusion, here are the general steps for those who like to think; the concepts that have related to what I’ve been trying to relay to you all:

  •  There are ALWAYS ideas waiting to be created, always!
  •  Find/Look for the problems and solutions from everything around and begin to cultivate the idea/potential innovation; they’re everywhere!
  •  Record these ideas! You’ve got this!
  •  Love your ideas as you would something you care deeply and passionately about!
  • Test ideas! It’s trial and error! Don’t be afraid to go back to the drawing board!
  •  Is the market ready? I believe that people don’t know what they want unless it’s put in their face!

Go forth, relate, create and innovate!

Strength Training; How to Really Crush Plataeus; Lesson from the Most Worthy Martial Art

********************************************************
Strength training, who really gets the most out of it?
********************************************************

I can tell you this. Strength Training is not easy.

Strength training is formidable, but requires a ton of discipline.

Strength training takes immeasurable patience, and it takes more than hard work, more than discipline. True Strength training takes everything from you and then breaks another form INTO you.

I can tell you about strength training, if you are willing to go the extra mile.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                                       FIRST LESSON
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BEFORE READING THIS ARTICLE / GUIDE, I SUGGEST YOU WATCH THE FOLLOWING VIDEO DOCUMENTARY ON BRUCE LEE.

You can learn a lot from him!

To learn strength training you have to take the notion of Arnold very firmly, "don't start counting until it hurts" - thats when the reps count, whatever workout you are doing, you need to go above and beyond in QUALITY of sets.

http://www.muscleandfitness.com/workouts/abs-exercises/arnold-schwarzeneggers-six-pack-routine

I myself do 10 sets of vigorous, slow pushups, with weights on my wrist and back , and each must be the oddest most unfruitful number, 18 pushups each.

While you are straining, you can't put any poltergeist in it, you have to maintain proper form or start over!

You might madden yourself, but that's the point - do it right or don't do it at all!

Powerful Instrumentals of 2014-2015; Lighting the Prodigal Candle in the Darkness of the Modern Days; An Indigo Child Speaks

Out of the new and upcoming artists of the modern age, Louis Edward Francis David Michael Mills is certainly aspiring to give a glow to these ever transcendent times. His instrumentals are traditional and yet can adapt to the new age as well. They are diverse and well-crafted.

I can see that his talent is certainly expanding, he is an intellectual with the aura of an Indigo Child; I was not only impressed by his musical talent, but also by his general knowledge and retention of such knowledge, as well as his Insight and his role as a valid and charismatic empath (concern for nature and humanity) - all very rare traits in today's world.

Being able to connect with nature and humanity itself is rare, but aside from that, the music is subtle enough to allow for deep thought, without being too noisy.

Some of it would remind you of 80's or 90's music, such as at a play or playing outside of or in a restaurant. Whereas some of it certainly is more new age. Some could sorta pass for a type of country music instrumental...

"GEETAR" notably had a country air to it, whereas "VOILA" sounded similar to 80's instrumentals.  These are just two examples, I won't spoil it for ya.

MEMORIUM is a special song on the full album you will see why when you get it.

I would definitely recommend checking out his work.

The Strongest of our People are not those without Fear, but those who Face their fears with the utmost discipline.

I believe the above quote is an accurate example of what we should all take to heart, we should not be paralyzed or defeated by fear, but instead utilize fear, changing it into strength in a time of need, or transforming it into hope on a normal day.

We need to learn that fear is often illogical, but at other times, it simply is a bit of awareness best saved for another time - sometimes certain fears can be an important insight. We need to use that insight for the proper time, and not apply it to anything and everyone when the time doesn't call for it.

If you want to take control of your life, and your destiny, and rise above your fears - you have to first face them. This. This is what proves true strength, not being without fear, but being able to somewhat consistently, face your fears with discipline - do not change your fears into rage, but change them into steady motivation.

Do not allow your fears to cripple you, but expand you, be your own inspiration, but never forget what others have taught you, whether they meant to or not.

The most important lessons are often subtle and quiet. Noise is not needed for ascension , nor is it needed for learning or for your own declarations, what is needed, is heart and the will to do what is right...by using your wits in coordination with vigilance. Use your strength of mind with your intuition of the body, this is the key to success, and the key to truly living.

We all have instincts, so let's start using them, and not take them for granted...some may be inaccurate, but these momentary failures eventually build a new type of logic - one we look back on to see what we were missing. Some fears may be almost completely out of place, or inapplicable at the time - that doesn't mean we should be condemned or that we should blame ourselves, or call others delusional.

In my eyes, it simply means the person is on "inaccurate scanning" or a situation or given comment, remember everyone has their bad days, so an illogical fear should not be persecuted, but clarified, by not being afraid to mesh, or avoided, in some instances.

In short, I summarize all of this with one quote.

If you truly want to be strong and of courage, and notable. Remember this.

The strongest of our people are not those without FEAR, but those who FACE THEIR FEARS, with the utmost discipline. ~AMx Reborn~

1.)   4-Aminopyridine (4-AP, INN fampridine, USAN dalfampridine)
Fampridine is also marketed as Ampyra (pronounced "am-PEER-ah," according to the maker's website) in the United States by Acorda Therapeutics[5][6] and as Fampyra in Europe. In Canada, the medication has been approved for use by Health Canada since February 10, 2012.[7]

Recovery from the lethal effects of saxitoxin: a therapeutic window for 4-aminopyridine (4-AP).

Abstract

We have shown that saxitoxin (STX) induced lethality can be reversed by 4-AP when it is administered at the time of respiratory arrest [Benton, B. J., Spriggs, D. L., Capacio, B. R. and Chang, F.-C. T. (1995) 4-Aminopyridine antagonizes the lethal effects of saxitoxin (STX) and tetrodotoxin (TTX). International Society of Toxicology, 5th Pan American Symposium on Animal, Plant and Microbial Toxins, Frederick, MD. July/August 1995, p. 217]. The purpose of this study was to determine whether 4-AP's efficacy could be enhanced further when administered at different times relative to STX intoxication. The animals used in this study were chronically instrumented for concurrent recordings of diaphragm electromyogram (DEMG), neck skeletal muscle electromyogram, Lead II electrocardiogram, and electrocorticogram (ECoG). There were five groups of unanesthetized guinea pigs. The first group served as 4-AP controls and received a 2 mg/kg i.m. dose of 4-AP. The four remaining groups were given a lethal dose of STX (5 microg/kg i.m.); the second group, STX controls, received no 4-AP; the third group, the 4-AP treatment group, received 4-AP immediately following cardiorespiratory collapse; the fourth group was the 4-AP/STX co-administration group and 4-AP was given concurrently with STX; and the fifth group was the 4-AP pretreatment group in which 4-AP was given 10 min before STX. At the point of STX-induced cardiorespiratory collapse, the guinea pigs were ventilated and given an i.p. injection of sodium bicarbonate. Results showed that 4-AP prevented cardiorespiratory collapse in 3/7 animals in the 4-AP pretreatment group. Also, 4-AP in conjunction with artificial ventilation and sodium bicarbonate accelerated recovery from STX-induced cardiorespiratory collapse in all the treatment groups compared to the STX controls.

2.) ATP; Adenosine Tri-Phosphate (injection)

 1984 Feb;81(2):277-82.

Antagonism of tetrodotoxin- and procaine-induced axonal blockade by adenine nucleotides in the frog sciatic nerve.

Abstract

The effects of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), adenosine diphosphate (ADP), adenosine monophosphate (AMP), and adenosine on compound action potentials were investigated in de-sheathed frog-sciatic nerve preparations. ATP and ADP but not adenosine antagonized the inhibitory action of tetrodotoxin (TTX) on nerve conduction. AMP had little or no antagonistic effect on TTX-induced axonal block. ATP was more effective than ADP. The effects of the nucleotides were related to the degree of the TTX-induced inhibition and were more evident where the blockade was more intense. ATP and ADP but not adenosine antagonized the procaine-induced axonal blockade which, in some experiments, was completely reversed by these nucleotides. ATP and ADP were of similar potency. The axonal blockade induced by pentobarbitone was not antagonized by ATP, ADP, AMP or adenosine. The possibility that ATP stimulates a TTX-sensitive sodium channel is discussed.

A List of Available Serotonin 5-HT4 Receptor Antagonists - Where to get 5-HT4 Blockers

In my quest to find serotonin ligands, particularly, antagonists/blockers of the 5-HT(4) receptor - I have come across a few natural antagonists, with varying potency - and one chemical not available yet but still in clinical testing.

I will be updating this article as I find more.

The first natural 5-HT(4) antagonist would appear to be chamomile extract.
Though the study cited showed it was particularly an ethanol extract, and it was included in a formula, however, by binding assays and other chemical tests - it was revealed the chamomile component was indeed the binder of the 5-HT4 receptor  - which probably accounts for at least part, of the anti-diarrhea/Irritable Bowel treatment; STW 5.

Additionally, chamomile has anti-anxiety effects which probably relate to it's serotonin 5-HT(4) receptor blockade.
