A few months back my boyfriend lost his libido and had chronic diarrhea from taking SSRI pills and antidepressants, we examined and used different stuff, including viagra, cialis and some natural hormone boosters (testosterone boosters)...but none availed. finally we tried the suggestions in your article for blocking serotonin. and omg! it came back and he's feeling more better n less depressed n has his libido back! specifically we are using the products mentioned in this article the shilajit and ginseng. he also had his testosterone levels go way up in blood work. he said he will post here when he has it all together !

  3. What I'm finding in my search for OTC serotonin blockers is that people take the exact products above in order to INCREASE their serotonin levels. I am really confused.

    1. Is that so? Nobody uses Shilajit, Vitex or Yohimbe to raise serotonin, they are all well-established ``blockers``, so wherever you are getting your information from is wrong - or you are simply a troll post.

  4. hey I have a question .. is this Shilajit High Mountain Dragon Herbs the best shilajit? how are you sure it is ? also I read a comment that said if Shilajit has not 50% fulvic acid its waste of time this one says it has 40%. whats up with that? Anyway I ordered the one you suggested I really hope it can fix my exess amount of serotonin I have.... Gonna start with 4 pills and see how I feel.   5. hi im trying white willow bark right now i took 1800mg. how long does it to see a decrease in serotonin?? do i need higher dose

  6. I wouldn't take more than 1800mg to avoid stomach irritation or something. For me it works right away, but I don't have excess serotonin. When I take 4 capsules 1600mg I feel very depressed, I rarely use white willow bark.

  7. sorry i miscalculaced it was 5 pills = 2000mg but yeah I felt effect right away too man. does it just get better (as in keep reducing serotonin ) or is this it? im happy just with this to be honest .

  8. What is the one that you're taking? I'm taking Natures Way. What do you feel, better or worst? I take more often Corydalis a dopamine antagonist, and that one makes me feel better.

  11. because I produce way more than the normal person would its genetics for me not sure what its causing it.
    a theory is I have low-functioning MAO-A, which means my serotonin doesn't get broken down as quickly.

  12. The study mentioned doesn't justify Willow Bark as an antagonist, I've seen it mentioned on Ray Peat but I think for the most part; Shilajit, Yohimbine & BCAA are more effective.

  14. i do feel more sad so it but be decreasing my levels .. but yeah im waiting for all the 4 you mentioned in this article I ordered them to arrive.. cant wait.... which one should I try first? should I combine them so it decrease my serotonin even more? also you say bcaa can decrease serotonin? how much would I need to take of bcaa? I remembered I tested this once but maybe my dose wasnt enough? I read someone took like 20g to keep his serotonin lvls down..
